During the first week I was researching around my chosen theme I've decided to go with looking into Mods and and their fashion statement and their conflicting culture clash with the Rockers during the 1960's, the seaside riots where it all began the medias coverage and exageration of the situation and the transition to London. the Mod subculture was solely based on fashion and music whilst the rockers was ventured on motorcycling.
I decided to go down to camden as this area is filled with fashion of the 1960's era the leather of the Rockers, motorcycles, platform creepers and Dr Martens which the Mods wore simply to get inspirations and hopefully catch modern day take ons of the fashion during the 1960's. I was also able to do first hand observational line drawings of the scenery and crowds down Camden market and Carnaby street when it thrived during the 1960's. The observational drawings mainly in pen so I can further develop them int the following week.
